Weddings

The Barley Barn is the perfect venue for a wedding blessing or reception. You have full use of the barn which comfortably seats 140 people and can accommodate 165 in the evening. We have a bar area, courtyard space for outdoor seating , games and food trucks, and the perfect ambience for a country wedding. There are easily accessible toilets, a separate area for your caterers to use and ample parking. The Barley Barn is a blank canvas to allow your vision to come to life.

 Details

    • The barn is yours to use from 9am the day before the wedding until midday the day after.

    • You have full use of the barn which comfortably seats 140 people and can accommodate 165 in the evening.

    • There is a bar area for you to set up a free bar or alternatively you can bring in a bar service.
      We don’t have an alcohol licence so you will need to apply for a Temporary Events licence if you wish to sell drinks. 

    • Easily accessible toilets adjacent to the barn.

    • A separate area for your caterers to use to plate up and for ambient storage for their supplies, as well as an area of hardstanding behind so that their vehicles can be hidden away.

    • 4 beautiful milk churns for your flower arrangements.

    • The barn is decorated with white fairy lights.

    • It is very important to us that you enjoy your event and that everything goes smoothly. We find that by working together by meeting to discuss your arrangements several times before your event it makes sure everything runs smoothly.

    • The Barley Barn does not come with furniture so you will need to hire in the tables and chairs of your choice from a local supplier. Our preferred supplier is Alfresco.com

    • We are happy to offer a meadow for camping for an additional fee per night. You can also hire our bell tents for self assembly and air beds.

    • We do not have a license to conduct legal wedding ceremonies on site so usually a celebrant is called upon to conduct a personalised ceremony or the beautiful village church can be contacted for a religious service.

  • Please feel free to arrange for the music of your choice. We ask that the volume of the music is limited to avoid upsetting our neighbours and that it finishes by 11.30 with guests off site by midnight.

  • We have parking on hard standing for around 25 cars next to the barn with additional parking available behind the barn. There is a separate area for your caterers to park. Taxis can also access the barn and the mainline train station is 1 mile away.

  • We are happy for you to bring in your own suppliers.

  • The Barley Barn is an exclusive venue with limited dates available from May to September each year. We are now taking bookings for 2027 and 2028.
